1 package yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple (20 oz)
1 can cheery pie filling (20 oz)
½ cup chopped nuts
1 cup butter
|
Grease a 9x13 pan. Dump undrained pineapple filling all corners. Dump pie filling, spreading evenly. Sprinkle dry cake mix over top. Drizzle melted butter over top. Sprinkle nuts.
Bake 350 1 hour 15 minutes.

When mother copied this recipe from some lady at church she thought it said "dumb cake" because it's so easy to make. But it's actually "dump cake".
