1/2 lb bacon
1 large sweet onion
2 lbs pared white potatoes (4 cups diced)
2 cups boiling water (or just enough just to cover potatoes)
2 cans whole kernel white corn (or 2 cups fresh)
4 cups milk
2 tea salt
1/2 tea pepper
1/4 tea paprika

Cut bacon into small cubes and brown well in large saucepan. Add onion and cook till tender. Add diced potatoes and water, cover, and cook until potatoes are tender.
Add corn, milk and seasonings. Heat and serve.
