2 cups beets
1 cup vinegar
¾ cup sugar
1 TBSP salt
1 tea cloves
6 hard cooked eggs
1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings.

Put liquids into bowl and mix well. Add other ingredients, cover and chill at least 2 hours.
